Stage 2 of the selection process for all cadet schemes is identical to the standard APP First Officer Skills Assessment except it does not include a flight simulator assessment. The forum already includes a section for enquiring about Skills Assessment, which you can find at the link below.

Applicants who are unsuccessful getting a seat on a cadet programme may join as self-sponsored students once they complete all parts of the standard APPFO assessment. At a minimum, this will include the flight simulator assessment, but could entail retakes of anything they failed at Stage 2 or the Day 2 exercises if they were not invited to attend Day 2. It is best to speak with one of our Brand Managers so we can determine what will be required on a case-by-case basis.
